Krefeld is a town of manageable proportions. Krefeld is able offering its guests a lively city centre, picturesque city districts, highly developed cultural activities, a variety of sport and leisure facilities and an attractive gastronomy.

Velvet and silk

Krefeld confirms its reputation as a city of fashion with a competent product range, offered to customers of all generations by the retailers in the city. The "associated" branches are the jewels and cosmetics, sport and leather goods alongside of the fashion. Art and antique traders are an integral part of the city. The pronounced cultural interest gave the city also the name as "city of the books".

The citizen had a lot to discuss, concerning the Behnisch-house, a 140 metre long, many times appointed glass house in the middle of the old city centre. Dared and won - is the majority of the opinion and the result.
